In the Glommaløpet, you run on a gravel path along the last kilometer of the Glomma River from Sarpefossen to the river's mouth at the sea near Gamlebyen in Fredrikstad. The race starts at the square in Sarpsborg, and the route goes through Kulåsparken, over Sannesundsbrua, along the Glommastien (the eastern side of the Glomma), under the Fredrikstad Bridge, finishing in the best-preserved fortress town in the Nordics – Gamlebyen. The race takes place on May 30, 2026, and offers several distances, including a relay for teams of up to ten participants and an individual 10-mile race.
